Biography

After spending 15 years as a CPA working in corporate accounting, Brian thought the grass was greener on the golf course. He went back to school to get his B.S. in Horticulture at Oregon State University with the goal of becoming a golf course superintendent. However, immediately after graduating, a Turfgrass Research Assistant position came open at OSU and, as of March 1, 2010, he will have been in the position for 9 years. Research activities have included disease and weed control, annual bluegrass fertility, growth regulator effects on putting greens, timing of fertilizer release, turfgrass variety evaluation, and selective annual bluegrass control in cool season grasses.
