Job Duties:  The Equipment Manager will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all turf equipment, the golf car fleet, and light building repair and maintenance.  The Equipment Manager may also be asked to assist in cultural practices on the grounds as needed.  Other duties will include purchasing, record keeping, maintaining stock and inventory, and assistance with budgeting and planning as it pertains to job requirements.

Specific requirements:  Accurate record keeping and reporting.  Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program and minimize equipment downtime.  Candidates must be able to work within budget, and contribute to tracking expenses.  Maintain a grinding program to keep cutting units performing and maintaining a quality of cut for maximum performance.  Be active in participation of crew training and safety program.

Skills:  Small engine repair, familiarity with diesel and gasoline powered equipment, ability to weld and fabricate.  Knowledge of turf related equipment and both reel and rotary style mowing equipment.  An overall attention to detail is desired.  Some general knowledge of golf is a plus.

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent.  Some form of secondary education in fabrication or engine repair a plus.  Some literacy in computer and current technology would be a plus.

Course Overview:  Bully Pulpit is a nationally acclaimed 18-hole, par 72 daily fee golf course designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan.  We are located on the I-94 corridor in the Scenic and historic Badlands of North Dakota along the Little Missouri River, just 3 miles south of Historic Medora, ND.  The golf course measures 7,166 yards from the Championship tees, but has 4 other sets to choose from.  Greens are grassed with Seaside II creeping bentgrass, and the tees, fairways, and roughs are mixture of Kentucky Blues and Fine Fescues.  Modern equipment fleet of Toro and John Deere units.
