Everett Aquasox Intern

The Everett Aquasox, Single- A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, are searching for a sports turf intern to help maintain the playing surface and stadium for the 2012 season. This position will allow for an aspiring turf professional to gain first-hand knowledge of how to maintain a professional baseball field.

Job Description:
The sports turf intern will be involved in all aspects of maintaining the playing surface. The duties may include but are not limited to: mound, bullpen, home plate repair, infield skin maintenance, mowing, edging, fertilization, painting, batting practice setup and breakdown, postgame field repairs, tarp installation and removal, irrigation, and basic equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:
The applicant must be enrolled in a two or four year turf management program. Also must be willing to work long hours including weekends and holidays.
