We currently have the following positions available here at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.

POSITION:  Internship - 2 Positions

COURSE OPERATION: Private 18 hole championship course and Par 3 Short Course Facility.  6,835 course yardage, 40,000 rounds/year, Poa annua greens, tees and fairways, Toro NW 8000 irrigation system, $1.4 million maintenance budget plus numerous planned course improvement projects including  bunker addition and renovations, tee addition and renovation, reconstruction, etc.
CECC is known as the “Players Club” with 180+ members with single digit handicaps. Hosting LPGA 2014 - August 26th - August 31st.

DUTIES: To learn facets of Golf Course Maintenance involving, but not limited to: Course setup, mowing of all surface areas with all types of equipment from walk mowers to light weight fairway mowers and rotary mowers,  Pesticide and fertilizer applications, manual and mechanical raking bunkers and maintenance, filling divots, aerification processes,  application of topdressing material, communicate effectively with other employees, locate specific areas on the course, operate equipment safely, efficiently and responsibly, assist with construction projects and comply with all Columbia Edgewater Country Club safety and health policies and procedures.

WAGE:  Depending on Experience.  Range: $10.00 to $13.00

BENEFITS:  Free on site housing.  Complementary lunches Tuesday - Friday.  Raingear allowance, Staff shirts and hats, playing privileges, paid attendance to OGCSA association events when appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS:  Prefer serious and responsible student currently enrolled in an accredited Turf Management program.  Some golf course maintenance experience required as well as an understanding of the game of golf.  A valid Pesticide Applicators license and driver’s license are also requested, but not required.  Applicant must pass company pre-employment drug screen.  We prefer the applicant to be able to work through September.
