Locations & Facilities
While the Department of Horticulture's main facility is located in Corvallis, Oregon on the main campus of Oregon State University, a variety of locations and facilities around the state support horticultural research.
Facilities at Oregon State University and in Corvallis
The Department of Horticulture is based on the 4th floor of the Agricultural and Life Sciences (ALS) building on the Oregon State University campus. The Ag and Life Sciences building also houses plant growth chambers, Soil Science, Environmental and Molecular Toxicity, Biochemistry and Biophysics, the Center for Genome Research and Biocomputing and the Molecular and Cellular Biology Graduate Program.

Either on campus or located close to Corvallis, Department of Horticulture faculty, staff, and students also work and learn at the following facillities:
- Greenhouses
- Research Farms
- National Clonal Germplasm Repository - preserves plant genetic resources for fruit, nut, and agronomic crops.
- USDA-ARS Horticultural Crops Research Laboratory - conducts research on the biology and management of plant diseases, insect pests, plant growth and more.
Members of the Department of Horticulture perform research and outreach at many locations around Oregon that include Branch Experiment Stations and Extension Offices.
