Oregon Processed Vegetable Commission

A public hearing will be held to receive comments on the Oregon Processed Vegetable Commission’s 2018-2019 fiscal year proposed budget and the assessment rates for the 2018 crop year. The commission is also proposing the removal of commissioner term limits. Members of the public are welcome to present their comments, either orally at the hearing or in writing. Please submit written comments by 4:00 pm April 24, 2018 to jennifer@oregonspuds.com.

2018 Proposed Assessment Rates 
The commission determines assessment rates based on the research to be funded, administrative costs and any carryover or deficit from prior years. Oregon statute limits the maximum assessment to 1/2 of 1 percent (0.5%) of the average price paid to growers during the past three years for each commodity. All of the figures below are based on net tonnage except corn, which is calculated on a gross tonnage basis.
