Interns will participate in all facets of our golf course maintenance program. This includes, but is not limited to, topdressing, fertilizer applications, and irrigation practices. Interns will have the opportunity to work on both courses at our facility. Introduction into the management plan, yearly budget, employee scheduling, and equipment maintenance will also be included in our intern’s experience. Management of crews and small construction projects may also be presented to the intern during time of employment. Meetings with managers will be held once a week during the middle of our intern’s employment. Other Information: Pronghorn consists of two championship golf courses designed by world renowned architects, Tom Fazio and Jack Nicklaus. The Central Oregon area is a thriving golf and recreation destination. Within a short distance there is fly-fishing, mountain biking, snow skiing and several recreational lakes. The Nicklaus course was opened in 2004 and ranked the second new private course in America by Golf Digest. In 2007 the Fazio course was ranked 4th new private course. Also, we are home to a beautiful 50,000 sq ft. clubhouse and the PGA Tour Academy. Both courses operate out of a state of the art maintenance facility. Our goal is to manage the courses in a manner that shows commitment to high quality, customer service and environmental leadership.
