Postdoctoral Scholar position - Sensor-based Irrigation Managment

Nursery Program Student Internship

Typical hiring during Spring  (March - May) for summertime employment  (June - Sept). Parttime work during the school year is also an option. 

This position is located in Aurora, OR at the North Willamette Research and Extension Center. This internship provides an opportunity to be mentored by OSU faculty and staff gaining valuable experiences in two of Oregon's largest agricultural sectors: nursery and Christmas tree production.

Potential Research Projects Include:

•Evaluating “SmartAg” technologies

•Plant production trials for new ornamental varieties

•Identifying safer alternatives to conventional pesticides

•Isolation of photosynthetic microorganisms from agricultural water and soils.

•Determining new Christmas tree varieties

•Plant disease identification and pathogen isolation.

Min Hourly Rate        $10.75 (Standard); $10.50 (Non-Urban); $12.00 (Portland Metro)

Max Hourly Rate        $17.00 (Standard & Portland Metro); $16.50 (Non-Urban)
