Philip VanBuskirk has been a Professor in the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University for 27 years. For over 19 years Phil served as an Area Extension Agent/Applied Research Scientist working with the commercial tree fruit and winegrape industries in Southern Oregon. In 2003, Philip was appointed as the Jackson County Staff Chair and Director of the OSU-Southern Oregon Research & Extension Center (SOREC). More recently Philip was appointed as the Region Administrator for Extensions Region 7 which includes Jackson & Josephine Counties while continuing his appointment as the Director of the SOREC in Central Point, Oregon.
