Research interests are focused on insect neurohormones, Receptors, Bioactive peptides, Receptor-i, RNAi, and Chemical ecology for Arthropod pests.

  1. Insect neuropeptides (NPs), G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs), and receptor interference (Receptor-i) to identify bioactive peptides.
  2. Development of RNA inference (RNAi)-based insecticide to protect small fruits and nursery crops.
  3. Identification of semiochemicals including insect pheromones and biosynthetic pathway, and application to pest management.
  4. Functional diversity and evolution of NPs & GPCRs from invertebrates to mammals.
