Research interests are focused on insect neurohormones, receptors, RNAi, and chemical ecology to develop novel pest managements and to understand biological questions.

  1. Development of RNA inference (RNAi)-based insecticide to protect small fruits and nursery crops.
  2. Insect neuropeptides and G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs), and discovery of bioactive insecticides.
  3. Identification of semiochemicals including insect pheromones and biosynthetic pathway, and application to pest management.
  4. Functional diversity and evolution of neurohormones and their receptors (i.e., GPCRs) from insects to mammals.
