I work for Dr. Shawn Mehlenbacher, assisting with development of high-yielding, disease resistant hazelnut cultlivars for the Oregon industry.

I am responsible for propagating hazels through seed, grafts, layerage and cuttings, culture and management of our plants in the greenhouse and field, making the controlled pollinations and harvesting the seed, and supervising our labor force throughout the year.
