Oregon farmers grew more than 6600 acres of certified organic vegetables in 2009. The top vegetables, by acreage, included salad greens (147 acres), sweet corn (1509 acres), onions (861 acres), snap beans (195), peas (775), winter squash (378), and potatoes (1135) (from CSANR organic statistics).
