Assistant Superintendent
Typical functions:
- The successful candidate will be highly dependable and have a passion for the business.
- Trains, motivates and supervises a union staff to perform the tasks required to maintain the standards at Bermuda Dunes C.C.
- Assists the superintendent in all facets in golf course maintenance and budget forecasting.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, tracking expenses including payroll, supplies, and fertilizer and chemical applications.
- Schedules and supervises maintenance work to achieve the most efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
- Ensures cleanliness of golf course equipment, maintenance facility and grounds.
- Assists in developing and managing the agronomic plan established and cultural practices for the golf course and clubhouse grounds.
- Manages irrigation system, programs, and daily changes.
Employment standards:
- Candidates must possess a 2 or 4 year degree in turf management.
- California QAC within 6 months.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work 50+ hours a week.
- Solid leadership qualities to motivate and manage for details.
- Must be a self starter with the desire to learn, lead and take pride in what they do.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
