Sudden Valley is an 18 hole, 6500 yard Ted Robinson design opened in 1971. We maintain wall to wall Annual Bluegrass. The course is on beautiful Lake Whatcom, a short drive from downtown Bellingham. The front nine plays along Lake Whatcom, while the backside climbs into the surrounding hills.
Requirements:
2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass Management. Minimum 2 years experience on a golf course. Candidate will have completed internships in the turfgrass industry. Candidate must obtain a Washington State pesticide license within six months of employment. The successful candidate will possess a solid work ethic, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, will be motivated to become a Golf Course Superintendent, and will play and enjoy the game of golf. Knowledge of Network 8000 and Toro SitePro control system is a necessary qualification.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Superintendent will supervise labor and facilitate the operations when the Superintendent is not present; conduct calibration and application of fertilizer and other plant products; maintain records, conduct maintenance, and maintain the operation of the irrigation system and scheduling.
